How We Work: From Concept to Completion

1. The Conversation & Concept

Every great project starts with a simple conversation about your home. I want to know what inspires you, what frustrates you about your current setup, and how you want to use the space. If you already have a finalized cabinet design or blueprints from an architect, that’s great—we can hit the ground running. But if you just have a few saved photos, a rough sketch, or a blank wall you don’t quite know what to do with, that works too. We will look at the space together, bounce ideas around, and dream up the perfect solution for your custom cabinetry.

2. The Plan & The Promise

Once we’ve nailed down the cabinet design and I’ve taken precise laser measurements of your space, I’ll get to work on the specifics. I will provide you with a straightforward quote and a clear timeline of deliverables. There is no guesswork and there are no hidden surprises. You will know exactly what to expect, what materials we are using, and when your cabinet installation will be ready.

3. The Build (In the Shop)

I know that having contractors in your home can be disruptive, which is why my process is designed to keep the chaos out of your living space. Roughly 90% of the actual build-out happens right here in my shop. This is where I mill the lumber, cut the joinery, and apply the durable finishes in a controlled environment where I have the exact tools needed for absolute precision in crafting your custom cabinetry.

4. The Installation (In Your Home)

By the time I bring the cabinetry into your home, the heavy lifting is done. The final step is a meticulous, detail-oriented installation. This is where the true craftsmanship shines—I will carefully scribe and fit the cabinetry to the unique contours, baseboards, and walls of your home so there are no awkward gaps. I handle all the finishing touches on-site, clean up the workspace completely, and leave you with a built-in that feels like it has always belonged there.
